The Rotted interview (05/2009)

The Rotted are a British death metal band based in London who grew out of their brutal death metal shoes flying under the name of Gorerotted. Hammerfest in Wales was the first of it's kind, and The Rotted were one of the bands to play at the first festival of this kind along with bands such as Opeth, Sepultura and Saxon. I managed to catch up with the only two original members of the band from their old days, Ben and Tim, and got to ask them about their past and their future.

Great interview Baz. The sound is a little dodgy but I got used to it.
By far the best thing about this interview is that its set in a kindergarten. A fucking kindergarten!!!

Haha, the press area was just upstairs in a nursary - no idea why they made it there, but it was quiet and out of the way.
Yeh, they switched places at the end just for a bit of fun. We had to stop recording for a moment, so in the gap they thought it would be amusing to switch places. |

| Great stuff Baz. Considering how keen those guys are on pointing out that The Rotted is a completely different band to Gorerotted, perhaps they could've chosen a more different sounding bandname..?! |
