One of the most underrated bands out there in my opinion. They are not the most amazing band, they have not had an album that is a masterpiece and classic, but they have definitely evolved through the years to create a sound to call their own that in my opinion differentiates them from all the other Suomi metal bands. When they started someone could call them Sentenced clones, but this has changed a couple of albums ago. This is their fifth album and probably the musically best one and yet they are still relatively unknown and they have not done many excursions outside Finland, which is a shame.

The album starts with probably the best song "Colder", which immediately grabs your attention with the beautiful melody, the mesmerizing voice of Jenny Heinonen (that always does the backing vocals for the band although not part of the main line-up) and finally the deep and powerful voice of JP Leppäluoto. The album continues with songs like "Deep Water" and "Bullet" that make you want to sing along because they are quite emotional and the music although kind of sad is quite uplifting. Then "Air" comes along, which is the slowest song and a very nice one to relax to with the help of the strings used in it. After another song comes the fastest track "Ride On Tears", which could have easily come from their third album "Downhearted" and is kind of a signature type song for their sound. This song is followed by another couple solid songs with very nice guitars all over and JP again showing off his voice in "Gray" in particular. Finally, the album finishes with "House Of The Silent", the longest track on the album, and also the saddest one. It starts off slowly and it builds up and grows inside of you. The vocals are better than ever here and the band showing that they can actually play very well.

I mentioned JP's voice a lot because it is very unique and one of the best ones, if not the best one, in this kind of melodic metal music. To wrap things up, I would recommend this album to anyone who likes suomi metal and whoever likes melodic metal in general. It is definitely their more mature album and I hope that they continue in the same way and that they will become more famous than they are so that people can enjoy them live all over the world, because they do deserve that! Ladies and gentlemen these are the "Songs For The Sinners"?

Very accessible gothic metal and a pretty good album. I do love JP's voice. Review could be better, but it's not too bad either.
