They’re not even in the same conversation when it comes to creativity and influence. Or how about Taylor Swift and Billie Eilish from a few years ago over DSOTM and Kid A? That one got a laugh from me as well
It’s not that I “dislike some music”, it’s that if you’re talking top 100 of all time, there’s no way Take Care by Drake should be in the same conversation and The Velvet Underground and Nico, much less several spaces above it
01. Conqueror Beyond The Frenzied Fog 02. Hymns Of Death, Rays Of Might 03. Seal Of The Dominator 04. Descending From The Aurora 05. In Communion With The Wintermoon 06. Saturnian Bloodstorm
Great album, incredible riffs especially, definitely inspired by Immortal. "In Communion With The Wintermoon" stands out most for me, and I get a Vinterland vibe towards the end.
Damn, M. don’t Miss. There’s a huge amount of Immortal inspiration, but I also hear a little Swedish meloblack like Dissection and the aforementioned Vinterland.
Still disappointed at the lack of Goth Rock covers, though.

You guys mention Immortal and Dissection, but for me first and foremost, this album sounds like tribute to albums like Blood, Fire, Death and Hammerheart and that is before even we start to talk about Immortal and the lot.
I really like listening to it however I agree with one of the comments earlier about vocal. It's hard to get used to it.

Solid 9 from me
I didn't detect any Bathory so I'll need to listen a bit closer.

Be my guest. It's a good day to listen to Bathory. Myself I haven't listened to any Bathory in some time now and today I not only listened to aforementioned BFD and Hammerheart but I also played Twilight and Blood on Ice and dug out my old Bathory t-shirt...
I have a feeling this will be my favorite black metal album of the year.
Agree with all the comments, this is some serious At The Heart Of Winter worship.
I disagree, for me all songs on this are boring. Spare yourselves listening time and audition: Sól Án Varma -self-titled and Aara with Triade III: Nyx.
Finally i got to check this out, and yes sounds good, will give it a few more spins lets see. sounds indeed like the immortal classic, but has extra touches to it, minus the production.
