Gloria Morti - Writing New Material

Finnish metallers Gloria Morti have issued the following update on their official website:

"The writing of the next Gloria Morti album has begun. We are currently keeping ourselves off the stages and concentrating fully on the writing process. Three songs have already been finished and more ideas are being made to flesh slowly but steadily. We are confident that we will be able to keep up the steady pace of writing and it won't take too long until we hit the studio for pre production. The current direction of the next album seems to be diverse yet aggressive. We are in this to make the best album you have heard from us, and not only that, we are shooting for an album that will take the band to the next level. We'll inform you about the progress."

Gloria Morti - Recording New Album, Keyboard Player Leaves

Finnish Melodic Black metallers Gloria Morti have issued the following update:

"Gloria Morti is entering studio to record their third full length album. The recordings of the album will be carried out in the same fashion as the last album Eryx by Juho Räihä in SoundSpiral studios. The recordings will start on November 21th. We will have a studio diary online and we will keep you up to date. The working title of the album is Anthems Of Annihilation and it will contain ten tracks of the most diverse and crushing Gloria Morti material to date.

Anthems Of Annihilation is a concept album about mankind making an irreversible mistake in trying to overcome all of its biggest problems. The storyline borders from a war between men and machines to the slavery and exploitation of a whole generation. The lyrical theme takes a stance on current problems and is a reminder of the stupidity of man.

Some working titles of the tracks:

"The Solution Called War"
"Awakening Of A Discordant Machine"
"Infiltration"
"Swallowed By Defeat"
"Obey"

Jenni Kemppainen is no longer a part of Gloria Morti. Keyboard arrangements on Anthems Of Annihilation will be written and performed by our long time friend Lars Eikind (Before The Dawn / Producer on Lifestream Corrosion, additional keyboard arrangements on Eryx).

Expect fast blast beats, flesh ripping melodies and huge soundscapes."

Gloria Morti - Drummer Leaves The Band

Gloria Morti have issued the following update:

"After 10 years as the band's drummer, Jarmo Juurikka has decided to leave the group due to personal reasons. There is no grudge between him and the other members. Glora Morti is now in progress of finding a new drummer.

There has been very few updates conserning the upcoming album and we apologize for this. Things may look quiet but even as we speak, Räihä's kettles are boiling with some really nasty shit, and unnerving shrieks and wails are carrying out of his guitarcabinet. Expect the very worst humanity has to offer."

In February, bassist Aki Salonen (Neverend) joined the band as a full-time member. A comment from the band read as follows: "He has been working as a session bass player at our shows for few years now, and we felt that the time was ripe to ask him join us. During these years, Aki has proved himself to be a skilled and dedicated musician."
