Heathen - new album delayed
Reunited San Francisco Bay Area thrashers HEATHEN have encountered unforeseen problems in the manufacturing of their new CD, "Recovered", and have been forced to delay its release until mid-April.
Commented the band: "We are currently experiencing difficulties with our manufacturer in getting the new CD out. Unfortunately this will set production back by two weeks. We do apologize for any inconveniences this may cause. We do appreciate your patience and we'll do our best to make sure you get your CDs as soon as possible."
"Recovered" features covers of songs from QUEEN, THIN LIZZY, TYGERS OF PAN TANG and SWEET SAVAGE, as well as an original track, "In Memory of?", written and dedicated to former band member Randy Laird and lead vocalist David White's brother Jeffrey, whose untimely losses occurred in 1991.
HEATHEN will appear on Billy Steel's "Metal Zone" show on San Francisco radio station 107.7 The Bone on Friday, April 2. The show will air between 9:00 p.m. and 12:30 a.m. PST. For those of you not in the San Francisco Bay Area, you can still listen in with The Bone's streaming media player at this location.
HEATHEN will be headlining the "Thunder In the North" mini-festival, scheduled to take place Saturday, July 31 at Imusicast (5429 Telegraph Avenue) in Oakland, California. The show, which will feature "six of the best metal bands in Northern California," will include appearances by OSMIUM, IMAGIKA, KURU, DISHARMONY and MUMMIFICATION.
