Hypocrisy - Forced To Cancel N. American Tour

Hypocrisy have issued the following statement in regards to their tour with Ensiferum and their current troubles with U.S. immigration:

"We regretfully have to officially announce the cancelation of our tour in North America. We've tried everything so far and it seems like the process will take longer than expected for one of the members in the band. We will try to come back as soon as possible, as we want to show our US fans that we care for them and we are ready to play the new songs live!"

Previously Hypocrisy had been in holding mode, fully expecting to join the tour that was already in progress at a later date. In an earlier statement the band explained their situation:

"Due to circumstances beyond our control, we are forced to stay home until U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services process and authorize our working visas. This is the first time the band has faced a situation like this and it's extremely frustrating, as well as depressing, since the last thing we want to do is disappoint our loyal fans who have waited years to see us live in the US. We filed for our visas with plenty of time, but as some probably don't know, the US government has changed its rules when it comes to visas issued to artists so it's become tougher. Even if we have already toured the US numerous times."

Hypocrisy had enlisted the help of Children Of Bodom guitarist/frontman Alexi Laiho to temporarily fill the vacant 2nd guitarist spot on this tour alongside Ensiferum, Ex Deo, Blackguard and Swashbuckle.

Hypocrisy - Recruited Children Of Bodom Mainman As Tour Guitarist

Hypocrisy have enlisted the help of Children Of Bodom guitarist/frontman Alexi Laiho for their upcoming North American tour.

Alexi has agreed to temporarily fill the currently vacant guitarist spot on their tour alongside Ensiferum, Hypocrisy, Ex Deo, Blackguard and Swashbuckle.

Hypocrisy mainman Peter Tägtgren commented: "We're very happy to bring Alexi along on this tour and that he's helping us out with filling the 2nd guitarist position. Funny, the first Children Of Bodom show was a support gig for Hypocrisy. Since then me and Alexi have become very good friends. I've helped him with producing and he's helped me by contributing a guitar solo on one of my records with my other band Pain. There will be no shortage of alcohol on this tour that's for sure."

Hypocrisy - Split With Drummer

Posted on the Official Homepage:

-Hypocrisy announces line-up changes-

Hello everybody,

We would like to inform you of a change in the Hypocrisy line-up.

We had a band meeting today and the three of us decided that, for "our own" reasons, Lars Szöke will no longer play in the band.

It's always heavy when an orginal member leaves a band. Lars and I have been playing together for 20 years in different bands and he's been kicking the shit out of the drums in Hypocrisy for 13 years. But now it's time to move on.

The new drummer for Hypocrisy is none other than Horgh (ex-Immortal, Grimfist) and we´re convinced that he will kick the shit out of the drums as well... We will see you on The Arrival tour in either Europe or the USA, giving you 100%!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (see tourdates for confirmed dates)

Enjoy the new album, because we are..... Peter/Hypocrisy

Hypocrisy - New Album Remixed And Remastered

Hypocrisy mainman Peter Tägtgren has posted the following message to the band's official web site:

"Hell-o everybody!

"We wanna thank everybody that came to the shows in Europe and the USA and supported us. This resulted in Cannibal Corpse wanting to take us out in the USA again in February/March 2004, after which we will tour Europe on the No Mercy festival.

"We will be playing new songs as well as old songs, but we need you to help us select the songs.

"And for those of you who've already downloaded the new album on the net... Great,
however, I just remixed and remastered it. I'm soooooooooooo happy that I did it,
it sounds so much better and will end up on the CD when it's out in stores 16.02.2004. Last minute as always (HYPO-motto)

"Have a good one and we will see you on the road!!!!!!!!

"Peter/hypercrazyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!"
