Pentagram - Another New Song Streaming Online

Legendary U.S. doom metal band Pentagram will release their new studio album, Curious Volume, on August 28th via Peaceville Records. So far, the band has released the song "Misunderstood" before as a first appetizer. But now there is more to be enjoyed. Pentagram - Debut New Song 'Misunderstood'

The doom is upon us, at least Pentagram's brand of heavy doom. The band has premiered the first song from their new album Curious Volume. If you want to hear it, just click play on the SoundCloud player below. According to the band's management, "although this song sounds nothing like the rest of the album, it does fit right in, especially when you consider the lyrics. I think it reflects Bobby's life-long love of The Dead Boys and other street rock bands."

Pentagram - Announce New Album For August

U.S. doom metal band Pentagram reunites with Peaceville Records for its new studio album, Curious Volume, to be released on August 28th. Featuring 11 classic heavy metal compositions with catchy hooks from core band members Victor Griffin, Greg Turley, and Bobby Liebling (Pete Campbell on the drums completes the lineup), the album was recorded with Swedish producer Mattias Nilsson at studios located in Maryland and Virginia. Pentagram - New Album Recording Underway, New Drummer

Good news from Pentagram today. Peaceville Records just announced the re-signing of US doom metal legends Pentagram for their forthcoming studio album, set to be released in the summer of 2015. The influential American band also announced a line-up change. Sean Saley has decided to step down from the drum throne. "Minnesota" Pete Campbell will step in to complete recording and touring duties throughout 2015. Campbell is best known for his drumming with Victor Griffin's In-Graved, Place Of Skulls and stoners Sixty Watt Shaman.

Pentagram - Victor Griffin Rejoins For Tour And New Album

Victor Griffin is returning to Pentagram for live shows and a new studio album. After taking a break from the band to bring Victor Griffin's In-Graved around the world, the doom metal guitar master returns to his main fold. The realigned lineup featuring the Liebling/Griffin duo backed by Greg Turley on bass and Sean Saley on drums will embark on a long awaited tour of the West Coast area in February and March. When not touring the world, the band will be working hard on a new album for release in 2014.

Pentagram - Former Bassist Vance Bockis Passed Away At Age 50

Washington, D.C.-area punk and metal bassist Vance Bockis has died at the age of 50. The musician, who played in such bands as The Obsessed, 9353 and Pentagram, in addition to fronting The Factory, passed away at his home in Fairfax County, Virginia, from complications following shoulder surgery.

Pentagram - To Perform Entire 'Relentless' Album At Power Of The Riff East Festival

Legendary cult doom act Pentagram are set to play a very special set for the first Power Of The Riff - East festival on September 1st in Brooklyn, New York. The band will perform its album Relentless (the album Pentagram re-released in 1993 with the same songs in another order) in its entirety for the first time since the early 1980's. Pentagram will also play other songs spanning the group's career, including tracks from their most recent album Last Rites. The influential doom outfit will also support Down in Philadelphia and Maryland.

Pentagram - Announce New Drummer

American doom veterans Pentagram have a new band member in their ranks. They issued the following announcement about recruiting a new drummer: "Drummer Sean Saley has joined Pentagram. Influenced by the likes of Bill Ward, Ian Paice, and Les Binks, drummer Sean Saley grew up on hard rock and heavy metal before taking a turn as drummer for DC underground punk legends Government Issue in the 80s."

Pentagram - New DVD Details, Euro & US Tour Dates

When The Screams Come, the brand-new upcoming DVD from legendary US doom rockers Pentagram will see its release on August 30th this year. A video from the DVD, where the band is playing the song "Relentless", can be seen in the YouTube-video below.

Clips from the DVD as well as music from the band's latest album, Last Rites, can be seen and heard at Metal Blade.
