Powerwolf - New Album In The Making

Powerwolf have issued the following upadate:

"After having crowned the touring for "Lupus Dei" with the celebration at Wacken Open Air, we have now started pre-producing the follow up album to "Lupus Dei". We´re currently sweating blood and incense creating new anthems, and can hardly hide our enthusiasm about the stuff we have written yet. Expect a goddamn mighty 3rd strike, that will be heaven in hell for all you wolfmaniacs!

We will be busy with further songwriting and the pre-production during the next two months, and by mid of November the wolves will invade the studio. As we decided not to change a winning team, we will once again team up with the incredible Mr. Fredrik Nordström as the man behind the mixing desk.

We'll keep you posted about the progress on the metal mass we are creating here from time to time - so keep an eye on the wicked!"

Wolf - Mercyful Fate Cover Online

A few days ago, Swedish Heavy Metallers Wolf have posted the following message on their MySpace:

"As many off you know, and many of you DON'T know, Wolf did a cover of Mercyful Fate's "A Dangerous Meeting" on the 2002 release "Black Wings". We thought we'd share that with those off you that missed out, so we "gave" the song to the Wolf UK MySpace site. We're fans of metal, good metal that is, and there's no doubt about the impact Mercyful Fate have had on Wolf so we did a cover of 'em to show our appreciation. Getting the (devilish) blessing from several Mercyful Fate members for that version made us believe in metal even more! So go to http://www.myspace.com/wolfwarriorsuk and enjoy goddamnit, enjoy!"

Wolf are currently writing the follow-up to 2006's "The Black Flame" which they will be recording this summer.

Leatherwolf - Part Ways With Vocalist

Orange County / Los Angeles based heavy metal band Leatherwolf are currently looking for a new vocalist following the departure Wade Black who fronted the band on their critically acclaimed comeback album, "World Asylum," released last June on N.I.L.8 Records.

"We would like to thank Wade for his contributions to Leatherwolf and wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors," commented the group on the split. "There are no hard feelings between both parties. Unfortunately, certain economic realities and the geographical distance between Wade and the rest of the band turned out to be an obstacle too hard to overcome and made working as a unit that much more difficult."

"We are now looking for someone closer to home, perferably based right here in Southern California. Potential candidates must be able to sing both the Michael Olivieri and Wade Black era songs (guitar abilities a huge plus!), have a valid passport, and be able to go on the road as we have a European tour in the works for spring 2007."

Interested parties get in touch with the band via dean.rob_at_cox.net

Wolf - Looking For New Label

The swedish band posted the following message in the band's official website:

"Ever since Push Music Group purchased our previous record label; No Fashion Records, there has been very little room for heavy metal and a band like WOLF. We therefore asked the company to be released from our contract. They accepted. We part like friends, and are now free to sign with what ever company we like.

This obviously means that we are on the look-out for a new label. A label that most importantly has a whole lot of love for heavy metal, and also a label that is genuinely interested in working closely together with a band like us.

Right now we are in the midst of writing new material for what will become Wolf's fourth album. The plan right now is to have everything ready for serious studio work later this year.

Right now we are booked for upcoming shows at both Rock Hard Festival (D) and 2000 Decibel (S), and we are negotiating/planning a U.S trip in May plus shows in Germany this September and possibly a two week tour of Scandinavia later this fall.

If you are interested in WOLF, please e-mail your offer, contact info, and any questions you might have to this address: wolf@wolf.nu

All the best WOLF"

Snakeskin - Message From Tilo Wolff

Taken from Lacrimosa website:

"From the buttom of my heart I want to thank everyone who believed in me and in Snakeskin and with that supported this new side-project, nevertheless the music is very dark and sometimes unpleasant!! This means very much to me as you express therewith how much my music and its contents mean to you!!
And for those who still have prejudice against Snakeskin I hope that you one day will learn that emotional art does not exist in limitations!
I wish you all a beautiful and intensive autumn and for those who live on the other side of the planet
I wish you a beautiful and not too hot summer!
Tilo Wolff"

Lacrimosa - T. Wolff & his solo project Snakeskin

From Lacrimosa's homepage:

"After the speculations condense and the rumours are becoming preeding-places for cranky fantasy-stories, I want to end the presumptions and notify what I originally wanted to announce earliest in several weeks: Yes, Snakeskin is my solo-project!
More information about Snakeskin you can find on www.snakeskin.ch, but already now I want to mention and anticipate new possible rumours, that Snakeskin is another musical and emotional playground for me, but that it won't detach Lacrimosa! Lacrimosa is and always will be my band and nothing is going to change that!
Without having the need to sacrifice Lacrimosa for it, the gentle listener therefore receives another facet, and I wish lots of pleasure with it!

With love,
Tilo Wolff"
