Japanese Onmyo-Za just announced that four of their songs will be featured on the SLOT Basilisk (SLOTバジリスク) soundtrack album, including the opening title track 甲賀忍法帖 (Hell). The album will be released on August 2nd, 2017 via King Records in Japan. This album will be the first concept soundtrack album composed for SLOT Basilisk. Hell Patrol Records just announced the upcoming release of Henrik Klingeberg's second solo album, Whiskey Tango Foxtrot. Klingenberg's solo project, known under the name Klingenberg Syndrome, released its debut album back in 2012, and now after five years, the sequel will be released on July 21st, 2017, and will continue Klingenberg's long-time co-operation with his Sonata Arctica and Silent Voices counterparts, Elijas Viljanen and Pasi Kauppinen. Completing the line-up is drummer Jani Huttunen, known mostly as the drummer of Jack The Frost.

Something's cooking in the Dark Sarah camp. Heidi Parviainen, most noticeable as Dark Sarah's creative force and singer, had recently started a crowdfunding project that will help with the production of her upcoming third album, that will continue the story between the fictional characters Dark Sarah and The Dargon, which Heidi began illustrating in the song Dance With The Dragon. It is now also clear to say that Juha-Pekka Leppäluoto (ex-Charon, ex-Poisonblack), who brought life to The Dragon in Dance With The Dragon, will join the Dark Sarah lineup ahead for their third studio album, which will complete the Dark Sarah Trilogy.

Mariusz Duda recently shared the first glimpse out of his upcoming fifth solo album in his solo project, Lunatic Soul - which will be named Fractured, and is scheduled for release in September 2017. Fractured, as told by Duda, will be a different album from his prior releases, with featured elements said to range from "dark melancholic trace with more electronics" to "symphonic orchestra" contributed by the Sinfonietta Consonus orchestra.
