Finnish extreme power metal combo Frosttide announced that, due to the pandemic, guitarist Paul Thureau decided to leave the band. The band went on hiatus briefly, but now they got together to finish their 3rd album. The first single, "Warrior", is to be released on September 21st via Out Of Line Music.

Band statement about Paul Thureau leaving the band: "Hello everyone, it has been a while since our last update. It is no surprise that the pandemic had an impact on everything, and musicians were no exception. During these 2 + years of not being able to tour and perform, we had to adapt to these changes which led to new priorities.
Music is our passion but unfortunately it is not our main source of income. Full time jobs, new family members and important life projects are taking most of our time, for some more than others, leaving us without time to focus on music. Our goal has been always to release the best music possible regardless of resource limitations, but unfortunately these last years it has been impossible to align everyone’s schedules to complete our next album. One major change during this pandemic was the departure of guitarist Paul Thureau. It is sad for us to see Paul go but we understand his decision. We thank him for his contributions to the band and wish him the best in his future endeavors."

About the band's future, they continue: "So, what is the future of the band? After much consideration we have decided to put Frosttide on hiatus. We will return to work and finish our next album once our schedules ease up and we can head back to the studio to record the final vocals and orchestrations. For now, we will leave you with the next single ‘Warrior’ to be released on September 21st via Out Of Line Music. More details about the release will follow in the coming weeks.
