Mustache with my beard is a must. I hate having a beard with no mustache, too clean looking.

I also thought like that once but then I couldn't stand the itchy and scratchy feeling that the growing moustache part created which means that I wore a beard without moustache for a long time. Now I've been sporting a full beard for a long time, several years. I feel like needing a change, thus I've decided to go for the Wolverine hockey stick beard as a next step in near future...

Yeah i also agree with that, exept in my condition, there is an empty space between my mustache and my goty, the hair still didn't grew in that area, i hope it will grow someday, so maybe i can have a normal beard.

The itching bothered me sooo damn much when I first started to grow it all out. Once it hits a certain length though, the itching always stops. For me at least.

I had to for my military years, man did I hate it though. Felt really naked.

Interesting. I always get this nice feeling after shaving away anything that's just like, this area is finally free and it can breathe all the fresh air it wants. Hehe.

I don't know if there's a thread on it, or if its been discussed here on previous pages, but:

What kind of razor do you use? shaving cream? Pre-shave gel/cream? Aftershave? (assuming you use any of that stuff)....do you shave before or after you shower? In the shower?

I don't use razors or creams, i use shave machine, before shower.

Shaving cream is for pussies. It's completely unnecessary. Disposable razors suit me just fine, I can make them last for months.

Shaving Cream I've found to be pretty useless so far. Maybe I havent tried a good one, I don't know. But shaving with or shaving without makes no difference to me. Disposable razors...would be the equivalent of using a standard kitchen knife for my face.

I have a shaving machine...its not the greatest and still makes my face feel like I washed my face with acid.

I think really I just need a good aftershave.

I have always used Electric Razors. If I just used a shaving razor (blade form) then I start to break out with bumps on my neck.

I always use shaving cream. Gillette works fine and does its job. Mainly it mousturises and lubricated the skin while shaving, helping you to avoid stuff like razor burn and other skin irritations to the face. I have shaved without cream as well and I can shave just as well but I can feel the razor on my face a lot more roughly so I avoid taking the chance. Rashes on the face isn't likely to be nice to look at.

As for aftershave, I use an Aftershave Balm mainly because I got a truckload of the stuff as a gift. Using the balm negates any need to use Aftershave lotion so I dont use any.

As for the razor, I use Mac3 Turbo from Gillette. I change the blades quite regularly though, both for hygenic purposes and also a closer shave.

My beard is getting pretty long right now. I think that I might need to take some pictures....I am trying to grow it out very long.

I only like to keep a beard at the end of my chin. No neck beard and no mustache. I occasionally grow sideburns, but they don't look very appealing because my hair is so course. I have a mohawk and like to keep the sides of my head bald, but I'll occasionally take a couple weeks off and let my hair grow some.

That is the reason I never let it grow out to be very long... always started to annoy me and I trimmed it to a short length every once in a while and every time I did that the feeling of freshness was indescribable...

I have been taking good care of it. I bought some good lotion that is good to put in after I shower.

I have a light beard, I'm not bothered either way to be honest I just hate shaving.

Eventually i'm going for a beard like this:

I prefer to have stubble. I had a goatee, but i liked like a mexican pornstar. Without facial hair though I look about 15 lol.

You do everything i do, except i dont use aftershave lol.

A bearded dude said that beard is very useful in summer when you rub it with ice cold water. The water remains in your beard and helps you maintain a fresh feeling when it's hot...

Thank you for that information. Never even thought about that.

Shaving worked when I was younger and I would have to do it maybe once a week, I could manage that, nowadays I would have to do it almost daily due to faster growth, and the short hairs will irritate the neck. I prefer to have maybe two months long beard.

Mine is 5 years old, I an not young anymore, I don't see why I should shave
