Eric Clapton is best known for being an overrated guitarist because too many people like him when they should be familiarizing themselves with more obscure guitarists that nobody's ever heard of.

His only good songs are covers and he isn't even that good at playing guitar.

Isn't the principle of a rock forum to talk about influential rock musicians? Someone should start that Jeff Beck thread just out of spite. But go on with that great attitude, it's a pleasure to read your posts as always.

Anyway. There's nothing better to accompany a long car ride than a Clapton CD. It's like cheese and white wine. I know 461 Ocean Boulevard is far from what people call his best, I just have a particular attachment to that one as I played it two or three times during the car trip from Morocco to France, when I moved out of my parents'.
