And kidding of course

Art is actually fantastic. Whatever it represents. I'm actually hoping musically it's something a bit different to everything they've done.

Artwork is amazing but I can't say I'm in any way excited. Slightly curious perhaps.

With four years passed, totally high expectations and the crazy number of bands making music similar to DsO these days, it will be hard for them not to disappoint I guess.
The cover is amazing.

Dunno, I'm weirdly optimistic about this one. After the (unnecessarily) drawn out "Trilogy" I think they must be done with that approach. They've had a lot time to think about and work on this one.

Yes. yes. yesssssssssssssssss

Though I also have the fear that it's going to be hard to satisfy all the expectations.

I've actually only heard DsO clones and have an imaginary idea of what their sound is. I did listen to Si Momentum and their last ep I guess and wasn't blown away by any length. Voidcraeft actually is one my fav "purportedly" DsO clone bands.

Try Kenose. That EP summarizes the whole DsO sound best in my opinion.

I had a brief skim of the one you commented on. Honestly don't see the appeal considering how many other better clones are out there (as well as DsO themselves).

Not a DsO expert so can't attest anything and I haven't heard much DsO clones as well. Also trying to remember his stuff which honestly speaking all of which I've heard, it might be fairly standard bm and not much of an avant-garde/whatever bm clone like DsO. Thats why I called it a "purported" clone. Still very good and dark bm. In fact, I enjoy his stuff a lot. To the point and less meandering into alternative/avant-garde elements.

Yeah I'm not even sure I would cite them in the vein as DsO tbh, even despite the supposed influence.

I'm also more curious than excited, that last EP release wasn't too strong, but it is going to be interesting to see where they go after their little "trilogy" of albums and whether or not this new material will be radically different in terms of sound, themes, etc

I just really hope that they come back to the Kenose days, (which probably wont happen) where they focused much more on actual songs, rather than technical bravado. Paracletus is quite good, as is the Ep before it, but its a sound which tires out too quickly for me.

Holy shit ! They need to stop doing this. These guys were completely silent for 4 years and now BIM ! "New album on the way, here is the tracklist, here is the cover, it's going to be released next month".
They already did it with Paracletus ...
