Favorite Full Length Debuts To add fuel to the fire of the "they'll never top their first album" rhetoric, here are all my favorite full length debuts in alphabetical order. Full lengths, not EPs.

Misplaced Title Tracks - Songs That Are Not On The Album They Title It is a common concept that many albums share the title with one of their songs, the title track.
However, there are a few examples of songs that have not been included in the album of the same name but on a different release by the group. Please feel free to suggest more Metal/Hard Rock examples for these "misplaced title tracks".

My Favorite Instrumental Metal Songs I love instrumentals (songs without vocals)!
One doesn't need words to convey a message and evoke emotions. Instrumentals also show how metal is very closely related to classical music! These are my favorite instrumental songs. (There are some songs that contain a few spoken words. These I denote with *) Suggestions are appreciated! Enjoy!

Summoning Albums: Best To Worst So I finally decided to go through with creating this list. The reason is simple: Summoning is easily one of my favourite bands ever. On top of that, they're also one of the most consistent bands ever, despite the fact that all the albums sound so different from each other. Yes, you read that correctly: to a Summoning fan literally every album is unique in their own way and don't really sound so much alike as people want to make you believe. One thing is certain, most of their albums (not Lugburz) fall under the category of mid-paced Epic Atmospheric Black Metal, with some Folk elements added here and there. I've said it before and I'll say it again: Summoning is definitely the ultimate Tolkien-influenced band. I added ratings (yes, they're very high, I'm aware of that) as well as the best songs (my personal favourites) of each album to the list, and a short description as well. Choosing the best songs was particularly hard for the top 3 albums, because most of the songs on those albums are excellent. Lastly, let me know your opinion by leaving a comment. After all, opinions is what these kind of lists are about.

A List Of Great Debut Albums A lot of bands have great debut albums. Obviously this list is just a fraction of all the great debut albums out there, but it's a start. I'll keep expanding this list continuously, so all suggestions are welcome (granted they are featured on MS). All the albums here are ranked according to genre and then alphabetically. If a certain album belongs to the (in your opinion) wrong genre, then definitely let me know.
