Virgin Steele. Very few bands have had the same impact on me as Virgin Steele. There so many memories that can be connected to their songs. As time has go by David Defeis has seemed to lost it totally but you should never forget that they once were among the best and their music will live forever. I still wish I would have the possibility to see them live and I hope their next album will kick some major ass! Here's my rank, rating and some of my favourite songs from each albums!

Some time ago I made a list for heavy metal albums I enjoyed the most. I got it cleaned up after ripening my tastes.I also tried to organize the list a bit, in subcategories. There is one album per band (choices were hard sometimes), with no strict order, but my favorite albums are usualy on top.

I like heavy metal with atmoshpere, with melody, and ideally it should be some kind of gate to a fantastic universe. I don't care about modern HM with a shiny production and simplistic riffs. I don't care obscure occult band with horrendous prod and no musical ideas. I make no secret of being a big fan of Virgin Steele. They are easily my favourite band of all time. I have a list of their studio albums ranked and I just thought that wasn't enough. So for a ridiculously long time I have been creating this list. When you are ranking so many songs from one band it can get really difficult. You listen to a song you maybe haven't heard in a while and it suddenly jumps 30 places. I am pretty happy with the list though and will change it down the line if and when my opinions change.
