2024 is still underwhelmed as compare to preceding years.

I think 2021 was the best year of the 20s so far as far as music goes

yeah I'm kinda undecided on whether I prefer 2023 or 2024. Some really nice ones this year, but I don't think as many good ones as last year so far. But, OK, it's only halfway through the year

2024 for metal is good. Very disappointed with Thrash.

For non-metal, the new Sheena Ringo did not disappoint but Maruja, Mdou Moctar and Satoko Shibata are putting up a good fight as well

Metal-wise the new Nimbifer and Chapel of Disease especially stood out
