I'm fine with free Youtube and dealing with the ads as they come. I pay for Spotify premium too, but that's for the enhanced audio quality. The ads on Spotify are much more annoying.

@corrupt, I don't really do political stuff on yt, the US does not concern me, nor does queer things. Mostly gaming, music and programming.

Also there's a lot of conference content on yt that is hard to consume elsewhere, and a lot of interesting programming stuff

I miss Lindsay Ellis, but I'm not really to switch to nebula just yet. Even though that seems to be where most good content ia moving to.

hbomberguy comes to mind. A lot of queer YouTube in general has great content with actual messages and not ads.

that's the one super annoying thing about YouTube. There's an incentive to release often and be sponsored. There are few creators left who release only when they have something to say.
