Last Sacrament was formed in 2005/2006 to make death metal, but with a harmonic and melodic difference in its sound. The band experimented with several temperaments before moving to 16-tone around 2008.

In 2012, the band recorded Enantiodromia using an inside-out diatonic moment of symmetry which reverses all major and minor triads found in the standard western musical system.

In 2013, recording for On The Possible Preserved Visual Consciousness In Blindsight began as a metal album exploring high prime harmonics and more theoretical microtonal concepts, in contrast to the previously "claustrophobic" sound.
