It's not going to make them rate yours higher. You need to actually show the people why they should give YOU a high score. I find this system absolutely amazing and what we have laughable. Barely democratic in comparison..

And more importantly, it would force candidates to actually campaign promoting their own program rather than being dicks and just shitting on their opponents program. Indeed, if you convince people some program is shit ...

SImilar idea to ranked choice voting

First, people wouldn't have to vote "useful", for the candidate that might win rather than their true favourite. It's the case in France where we always have 5-6 left parties. Also, it would show how "approved" each canditate is.

With this system, everyone can rate all the candidates (0-7 is the proposed scale), then the one with the best median wins. It would tackle so many of the main issues we have with voting today.

I have been dreaming we use that voting system for years now. In fact, since I first heard of it, democracy sounds plain stupid to me. The way we vote is broken in so many ways.
