Bloodbound - Part Ways With Singer, Replacement Announced

Swedish metallers Bloodbound have issued the following update on their official website:

"Bloodbound has decided to part ways with lead vocalist Urban Breed. Due to musical and personal differances the band has decided to move on with a new lead vocalist. We wish Urban the best of luck in the future and thank him for his time in the band.

Bloodbound's new lead singer is 27 year old Patrik "Pata" Johansson (Dawn Of Silence) from Finspång, Sweden! Patrik has been a good friend to the band for a while, and with a great voice sounding like a mix between Bruce Dickinson and Tobias Sammet he will fit perfectly into the band.

We want to give him a warm welcome, and we're looking forward to work with him.

Here is a short sample of his earlier work."

Bloodbound - Informations About The New Band Members

One of Sweden's finest metal vocalists - Kristian Andrén - joins BLOODBOUND!

Official statement from the band:

We're proud to announce that one of Sweden's finest metal vocalists, Kristian Andrén, has joined the band. He is previously known from Memento Mori (featuring members from King Diamond, Mercyful Fate and Dream Evil) where he replaced Candlemass singer Messiah. He was also the original voice in Wuthering Heights and Tad Morose. Kristian is an extraordinary singer and front man with an incredible voice and we're very exited to have him on board!

We are also happy to announce that Tomas' younger brother Henrik Olsson is our new rhythm guitar player. Henrik is an experienced and highly educated musician with a background in jazz and can handle most musical styles. A new bass player will be announced shortly.

At the moment the band is working hard on the writing and recording of the forthcoming second album, which will be released in January 2007. Some of the new titles includes: Book of the Dead, Vampires, Into Eternity, Turn To Stone and The Tempter.

The new bloodbound line-up (Kristian Andrén - Vocals, Tomas Olsson - Guitars, Fredrik Bergh - Keyboards, Henrik Olsson - Guitars, Pelle Åkerlind - Drums) is stronger than ever and you will see bloodbound live on stage all over Europe early next year. Tour dates will be announced on www.bloodbound.se shortly.

As you all probably know Urban, Markus and Jörgen are no longer in the band due to musical and personal differences. We want to thank them for their time in the band and wish them the best of luck in the future.

Check out Bloodbound live at United Forces Of Rock on Oct. 1st, 2006 in Ludwigsburg, Germany!
