Some line-up changes have happened in English traditional doom act Desolate Pathway. The band had two live bassists this year, Addam Westlake and Iron Void bassist Jonathan Seale. Now the group has a new permanent bass player, Dionisio Perez-Mavrogenis, and he replaced short lived member Jamie Butler. At the same time, guitarist Nuno JB Silva also exited the band.

The group who released their only album so far, Valley Of The King, two years ago, says Jamie is already seasoned in the London doom scene with his previous band Ossiyan and will be a great addition and completion to Desolate Pathway. You can catch them live on a few appearances in the next few months.

English traditional doomsters Desolate Pathway will play at the Malta Doom Festival (MDM) in October, it has been confirmed. The festival has also announced a few other bands like Bunker 66 (Italian band), Mythological Cold Towers and Phlebotomized. It will be a veritable doom feast!

Desolate Pathway have recently announced that Kostas Salomidis, from the Greek doom metal band Sorrows Path, has recorded 2 guests guitar solos for their second album planned for early 2016. Last week, Kostas recorded the guitar solos in Athens with producer Vangelis Yalamas. Epic doom metallers Desolate Pathway were formed by ex-Pagan Altar guitarist Vince Hempstead.
