Grave Digger - Re-Sign With Napalm Records

Napalm Records press release

Grave Digger have renewed their contract with Napalm Records.

The band commented: "After releasing two very successful CDs and our The Clans Are Still Marching DVD, we are happy to share the good news with our fans: Yes, we will continue! Over the past three years, a business cooperation turned into a friendship which can hardly be found in today's music industry. Napalm is a small and hard-working team that is as effective and productive as a company of 70 people. Always reachable and competent, they work with their artists individually. These are the strengths of Napalm, and that is why we have signed a deal for three more records under the Napalm banner. Long live rock'n'roll - long live Napalm and Grave Digger."

Max Riedler (Managing Director Napalm Records) added: "Chris Boltendahl and the members of Grave Digger are an exception in the music business. They are always professional, reliable and furthermore, they find words of appreciation for Napalm. That's when the hard work turns into joy! We motivate each other and face new challenges as a team. Thanks for your trust, we look forward to the new songs!"

Graveworm - New Album Details Announced

Fragments Of Death, the new upcoming album from Italian symphonic black metal band Graveworm will be released on October 21th via Nuclear Blast Records.

The follow-up to 2009's Diabolical Figures was recorded in July at the Dream Sound Studios in Munich, Germany and was mastered by Jan Vacik.

According to a press release, the songs are about the death in its thousand faces, which is also reflected in the album title and cover art. Musically, the album can be seen as a mixture of the best of the last four records, with some old-school roots and definitive darker than its predecessors.

Grave - Inks Deal With Century Media

Swedish death metal pioneers Grave have inked a worldwide deal with German label Century Media Records. Grave issued its debut album, Into The Grave, 20 years ago (August 1991) as the tenth-ever release from CMR.

Jens Peuter, head of A&R CM Europe, comments: "First time I saw Grave was in May 1992 when my friend Robert Kampf (founder of Century Media) asked me if I wanted to get tattooed by Vinny Daze (R.I.P.) from Demolition Hammer, who was in town with Massacre and Grave. I went to the show with the intention to get my first tattoo but was blown away by Grave's pure death metal blast and ended up being way too drunk to still get inked later that night. I never tried to get tattooed again, but I stuck to Gravve and I'm more than glad to welcome back Ola and his 'new' guys to Century Media."

Founder Ola Lindgren fills in: "We are very happy and psyched to announce that we have signed back to our old trusty workhorse Century Media Records! After some while of negotiations and a meeting in Dortmund, Germany the week before we played Death Feast Open-Air , we finally sealed the new deal. The future plan is to have a new Grave studio album out in 2012 and we will start putting the pieces together for that this fall, after the headlining tour of North America. We are truly looking forward to working together again with some of our old friends as well as all the new staff in the Century Media offices worldwide!"

Graveworm - To Enter The Studio

Graveworm will enter the Dreamsound Studio in Munich at the beginning of July to record the successor of 2009's Diabolical Figures.

The album will be entitled Fragments Of Death and will be released on the 14th of October via Nuclear Blast.

The title is explained by frontman Stefan Fiori as follows: "Fragments Of Death stands for the ten musical pieces of a puzzle on the CD. The lyrics deal with different modes of death. There will be one song about the current incidents in Japan, for example."

Eleven tracks will be taped up, which are described as a "combination of Graveworm's typical elements" by Stefan Fiori. "The music got straighter and displays a perfect blend of our past four albums for me."
