"Good news to everyone who enjoyed the "Conloach" studio clip Link]. We have a small X-Mas present for you. The whole song is now available on our MySpace music player, feel free to add this one to your profile.
We are also happy to announce that we will take part on the Wacken Rocks Seaside (Aurich) and Wacken Rocks South (Kreuth) on the 22./23.05.2009!
And last but not least, the release date for the new video "Shattering Swords" is the January 1st, exclusive here on MySpace. So watch out!"

"Good news abounds in the SuidAkrA camp, so we'll drop the small talk and get to the facts! First item of business: the new album. We'll enter Gernhart Studios in November to record the new SuidAkrA album, "Crógacht" (Yes, that's the title; now try to pronounce it?)
We promised you a surprise about the new record, so here it is: we're happy to announce that our dear friend Kris Verwimp will not only be in charge of designing first-class album art, but is also arranging first-class lyrical concepts and song texts! We'll go into more details about the concept and artwork in the near future, but for now we can announce the song titles for "Crógacht":

As the titles suggest, you can expect a decent Irish influence on the new record, so fans of folk metal can rest easy. Suidakra - Working On New Material
Suidakra have posted the following update on their website:
"At first big thanks to everybody who attended Chicago Powerfest and one (or even more) of the six Paganfest USA West Coast dates to witness our first live appearance on the North American continent! We knew before that there were some SuidAkrA fans coming to the shows, but we were absolutely, positively surprised at how many people really knew our music. To see people start singing along made each show a big metal party from the minute we started playing ? it was a blast! There were people flying in from Alaska and even Japan to see us and it was a big pleasure to talk with them and a lot of other fans after the shows. Admittedly, there were also a number of people that hadn't heard of SuidAkrA before, but we felt that they also got into it and had a good time nevertheless... Right after the US tour we started working on new material again. We managed to nearly complete the whole new record musically! In addition we have finalized the vocal arrangements of 4 songs and therefore we can reveal the first song titles: "Scathach", "Gilded Oars", "Shattering Swords", "Isle Of Skye".
We will play some festivals this summer, but there won't be any new shows announced except what's online here already! Maybe we'll meet some of you at WACKEN this year, but for a change, we're not playing -just attending. Haha.
Last but not least there are 2 new guitar tabs for you to download: "Heresy" and "A Menhir's Clay", taken from our Best Of CD!"

Suidakra - DVD Trailer Available
German metallers Suidakra will release their new DVD and "best-of" CD package, entitled "13 Years Of Celtic Wartunes", on April 25. Also a trailer of this upcoming DVD is now available Link].
"13 Years Of Celtic Wartunes" will include the band's Wacken Open Air 2007 performance, an acoustic concert, and a best-of CD with remastered and newly recorded songs spanning the band's 13-year history.

German metallers Suidakra is confirmed to play at Chicago Powerfest May 2008, and after that the band will join Paganfest USA tour as a special guest on six west coast dates:

"It's been quite a while since you guys last got an update on the actions of SuidAkrA, but don't be fooled into thinking they've taken a well earned holiday!! The forthcoming DVD & Best Of CD package has been keeping them busy and it's paid off -- apart from the final layout, everything's finished. The content of the DVD has changed since it was first announced -- it will now feature SuidAkrA's Wacken 2007 show, instead of Wacken 2006. Expect an early 2008 release for this fine package; more info about the exact date and tracklisting will follow soon and, of course, will appear here first.
The first tourdates for 2008 have been confirmed, hopefully there's something near you! 2008 will probably not see as much live action from SuidAkrA as 2007 did, because attention is beginning to turn to the next album! They have just started working on some new songs which will eventually form their next (multi-platinum selling) record
Autumn is the season for change and moving on, so the band would like to wish all the best to Marcel who has decided to take a step back from all band activities in order to concentrate fully on his job. A new live guitar player has already been recruited and will play the forthcoming shows."
Finally, a few words from SuidAkrA themselves: "We have the chance to play in the United States in 2008! Unfortunately, it costs a shitload of money for flights and whatnot to make this happen... So if anyone can help "sponsor" us at all, we would absolutely appreciate it! We know we have a lot of fans in the US and it's long overdue for us to make our first appearance over there. Please do not seek direct contact from us about this, as we cannot give out any information yet, nor are we involved in the sponsorship. Suidakra - Best Of Album And DVD Announced
Suidakra will be going into Gernhart Studio to record some old tracks and re-mastering the newer ones for a Best Of compilation. This album will be released together with a live DVD containing the Wacken 2006 show, the acoustic show at the Kielowatt Festvial 2006 and various other video clips. This fine package will be complimented graphical with artwork by Kris Verwimp, so this will surely be a must-have for every Suidakra fan, and fans of the future! More info soon.
The band has also posted some news about their upcoming performance at Wacken Open Air festival: "Just a few days left until Wacken Open Air! As a surprise and as an additional incentive (as if it was needed!) for you to be at front of the Black Stage for 11 PM on Friday, the band will be accompanied by Axel and his highland bagpipes! The opportunity to see Suidakra live on stage with bagpipes doesn't happen every day, so be sure not to miss it!"

Suidakra - Details Revealed For New Album
German death metallers Suidakra have completed the production of their new album "Caledonia" to be released November 17th with Armageddon Music. The follow-up to "Command to Charge" was recorded at Gernhart Records studio in Siegburg, Germany and features artwork by Kris Verwimp at http://www.armageddonmusic.de/php/news/uploaded_images/image40.jpg.
According to the band webpage, "Caledonia" adopts the lyrical concept of ancient Scottish history, and has such as "Highland Hills," "Forth-Clyde," and "The IXth Legion."

Suidakra - Start Working On New Album
The band have already started the songwriting of the new album, so far the band have wrote 6 songs. They will have to take a little break because of guitarist Marcel Schoenen will be undergoing a surgery. The possibly release of the new album is planed for Autumn 2006.

"The seventh SuidAkrA album "Command To Charge" has been completed! Our sound engineer Martin has done a fantastic job in the Gernhart Studio, and the finishing touches were added at the Monoposto Mastering Studio (Die Toten Hosen, Scorpions, Tito & Tarantula etc).
We are extremely pleased with the finished album, and we're sure you will be more than satisfied!
There will be 12 tracks on the new record, with a total playing time of 47 minutes, which makes it the longest SuidAkrA album yet! A variety of bonus material is also in the works...
During the next few weeks, we will dedicate our time to creating some great artwork for the CD, as well as a new website layout. In addition, a video clip will be shot for one of the new album tracks!
We also have some exciting concert news: in February we will play at the Atarfe Vega Rock Festival (Megadeth, Therion, Haggard etc), which will be our first ever gig in Spain -Olé! After that, the Winternachsttraum Festival follows, with SuidAkrA co-headlining right before Rage! Additionally, to confirm our first summer 2005 festival appearance, we will be playing at the Summer Breeze in Germany!!"

"We'll be in the recording studio from Nov. 1st - 24th. Right now 80% of the new material is finished. We will continue playing some of the new tracks live on the next gigs".
The whole Suidakra show at the Scream Festival (Lübeck on 01.10.04) will be filmed by several cameras, maybe to be released later as a live DVD or as bonus material for the upcoming record "Command To Charge".
Also, at the Scream festival, the band will celebrate its 10th year anniversary.
