Tool - Announce 2019 European Tour
Tool fans in Europe rejoice because the band will be returning to European shores next year! While the American metallers have been working on a new album for a while, it's still unclear when it will drop. Their long-awaited return to Europe increases the anticipation, with headlining shows and festivals, beginning on June 2nd in Berlin, Germany, and running through July 2nd in Lisbon, Portugal.

S-Tool - New Band From Ville Laihiala
Vocalist Ville Laihiala of Sentenced and Poisonblack fame has launched a new band called S-Tool. He is joined in the Finland-based group by drummer Aksu Hanttu (Entwine), bassist Kimmo Hiltunen (Lullacry) and guitarist Sami Leppikangas. Tool - Announce October Mini-Tour
Tool will be embarking on a mini-tour this October 2016. They have announced three headlining shows - in Denver, Salt Lake City, and Little Rock - as well as festival appearances. The progressive metallers will perform at the Voodoo Music + Arts Experience 2016 in New Orleans and they will also headline the 2016 Monster Energy Aftershock Festival in Sacramento's Discovery Park.

Tool - Headlining Monster Mash Festival On Halloween
No, it's not an update on Tool's new album. Status on that: unknown. The band teased an announcement recently and now it's out there. The American metallers will be performing at the 2015 Monster Mash Festival at Tempe Beach Park in Tempe, Arizona on Halloween, October 31st. The line-up also boasts Primus and Coheed And Cambria, with more to be announced.

Tool - Settle Lawsuit, New Album Update
Tool guitarist Adam Jones has recently given some new updates about the new album's progress and the legal issues the band faced. He was interviewed by Yahoo! Music and announced that the lawsuit that dragged on for eight years has been settled in the band's favor. For now, Jones, bassist Justin Chancellor, and drummer Danny Carey have finished one yet-untitled track and have more than 10 songs in various stages of completion. The next step is making plans for vocalist Maynard James Keenan to come in and start tracking vocals.

Apart from being kicked out of the Grammy Awards, Mastodon vocalist/guitaris Brent Hinds is involved in another supergroup with Tool drummer Danny Carey and Off! and Burning Brides guitarist Dimitri Coats. The band is called Legend Of The Seagullmen. As of now, you can have a taste of the music they produced by downloading two new songs, "The Deep-Sea Diver" and "Ships Wreck," on their website.

Tool's latest album was 10,000 Days released back in 2006. The band has been working on new material but contrary to some rumours (a misunderstanding between the band's guitarist and a fan led to speculation that the group had completed the album and intended to release it this year), they haven't completed the new album yet. In a new interview with Rolling Stone, guitarist Adam Jones and drummer Danny Carey confirm that the new Tool record is far from completion. An ongoing lawsuit has weighed on all of the group members but the band has continued to write new music.
