Sólstafir - Announce New Album Details

Good news are coming from the cold isle of Iceland. Sólstafir have announced that their sixth studio album will be entitled Berdreyminn (which means a "dreamer of forthcoming events") and is scheduled for release on May 26th via Season Of Mist. The band has shared the cover artwork crafted by Adam Burke and tracklist of the forthcoming album and more details are expected to be unveiled soon.

Habitants - Crowdfunding Debut Album, Share New Song

Back in 2015, the Rutten brothers, founding members of the legendary Dutch band The Gathering, started a new project Habitants. After two years, the line-up is complete and the band is ready to record their debut album. The crowdfunding campaign turned out to be a success and the recording is tentatively scheduled for a December release.

Caligula's Horse - Guitarist Quits The Band

Australian prog outfit Caligula's Horse are again going through line-up changes. Zac Greensill, one of the band's founding members, decided to quit the group and bring back to life his side project, Opus Of A Machine, which was officially put on hiatus last summer, two years after releasing the debut album, Simulacra.

Vangough - Reveal New Album Details

American prog metal unit Vangough has completed the work on their new album. The follow-up to the highly acclaimed Between The Madness will be called Warpaint and is set for release for March 17th. As the band states: "Spread across seven formidable yet emotionally vulnerable songs, Warpaint is the story of embattled spirits."

Me And That Man - Nergal Announces Side Project Debut Album

Behemoth's frontman Nergal has been teasing the fans about his side-project Me And That Man for a while already. In his new band, Nergal teamed up with British-Polish blues guitarist John Porter, Wojtek Mazolewski plays bass and contrabass and Łukasz Kumański on drums. The debut album will be titled Songs Of Love And Death and the music will be a mix of country, blues and folk. The record is scheduled for release on March 24th via Cooking Vinyl.

Steven Wilson - Shares Studio Teaser

Steven Wilson is a busy man, and he's already working on his next studio album. The British prog mastermind has released a studio teaser of the new song "Pariah". It features a guest appearance from Israeli vocalist Ninet Tayeb, who already sang on Wilson's previous record, Hand. Cannot. Erase. and toured with the band in North America and Europe. Tomas Lindberg - Announces New Project

At The Gates frontman Tomas Lindberg just announced a new death metal project called The Lurking Fear. The birth of the group has been announced in a statement posted on At The Gates' Facebook profile and it reads: "The Lurking Fear is bringing sheer, natural weirdness and horror back to the scene, as we want our death metal ugly, twisted and possessed. Riffs should stir up real feelings of repulsion, and disgust deep down in your soul, and vocals should sounds like hounds of hell howling at the moon."

The Doomsday Kingdom - Announce Debut Album Details

After releasing the Never Machine EP earlier in 2016, the Swedish doom act The Doomsday Kingdom have finally announced their self-titled debut album. The Doomsday Kingdom will be released worldwide on March 31st via Nuclear Blast. The all-star group, consisting of members and ex-members of such bands as Wolf, Candlemass, Avatarium, Soen, Evergrey and Narnia have recorded 8 "epic doom tracks, including a pinch of NWOBHM and haunting catchy melodies."

Klone - To Release Live Acoustic Album

The French metallers from Klone have prepared a nice treat for their fans. On February 17th, the band will release, via Pelagic Records, their first live album. Moreover, it will be an acoustic one, titled simply Unplugged. Klone has supported Anneke Van Giersbergen during some of her unplugged European shows earlier this year and decided that their efforts deserved a separate recording.

Cult Of Luna - Announce Live DVD

The Swedish post-metal legends Cult Of Luna announced a very special recording titled Years In A Day. The release will contain a 2 hours DVD recorded this year in Paris at La Gaîté Lyrique, 2 live CDs from Roadburn Festival 2013 and 2016 and a high-resolution audio from the Paris show. Everything will be combined in a collector 10" vinyl digipack and strictly limited to 7000 copies.

Bloodbound - Announce New Album And European Tour

After parting ways with their drummer last week, Swedish metallers Bloodbound shared some good news and announced a new album. After over two years, their new opus War Of Dragons will be released on February 24th via AFM Records. As the band states, War Of Dragons is to be "likely the band's most anthemic, bombastic and fast-paced album ever." It will be available in a variety of formats, including CD, 2-CD digipak, limited vinyl and limited box set editions. The band has also shared the cover of the new album and tracklist.

Kingcrow - Announce European Tour With Votum

Progressive act Kingcrow are hitting the road! The Italian prog metallers will embark on a tour in February and March, together with Polish band Votum, visiting eight countries. During the co-headlined tour, Italians and Polish will be promoting their latest albums: Eidos, released in 2015, and :KTONIK:, to be released on February 26th via Inner Wound Recordings. For Votum, it will also be an opportunity to introduce to the international audience their new vocalist, Bartosz Sobieraj.
