yeah I see how nationalism can be misused. But I think it's very extreme to essentially get rid of all national identity. That would include getting rid of a nation's history and culture, which is all intertwined in a national ID
Nationalism has always been a tool to subvert a democratic and free society. It is straight out of the fascist handbook. Align the people's wants and needs with the country's
I don't think I can reduce several books on these matters into a few shouts, but I am confused how you can manage to grow up in Germany of all places and not understand this

Andy keeps evolving this band. MPE resurrected with straightforward catchy melodies and with this album it matures a more technical, more complex songwriting with interesting twists and turns, unexpected passages. With every album they take something from previous record and add new soundscapes. Amazing effort. At times it even reminds me of Persefone. All in all I'd say it's a record that perfectly blends the best of classic MDM with the modern sound of MPE.
About to hit the gym, can't wait to listen to this there! The three singles were all very good, and MPE can't seem to release a bad song, so my hopes are high!
Now this went poorly. I expected a letdown after Andy's solo record where he definitely put his best but so far only Master of the Dead is at least remotely alright. The rest sounds filler.
Mindblowing until the half of the album. Some filler songs except master of the dead. And a killer ending song. I'm loving it
Not to be a snob, but I'm not sure how you can rate something a 10 that you feel has multiple (or even any) filler tracks.
As for my own opinion... I was expecting this album to be great after hearing the first three singles, but it ended up being closer to "very good."
I miss the gothic tinges that their past few albums had, and feel that the songs began to blend together a bit too much throughout the album - but overall, another solid album from a band that doesn't have a weak album in its discography.

It's because I am such a fanboy of this band not gonna lie 😁 Yes it has some fillers but the other songs are very good. Some of the best melodeath songs I've ever listened
What the...!? I knew the band by name but never bothered to listen to them until I accidentally clicked "Master Of The Dead" somebody sent me. It's a bliss to my ears, this is just the type of melodeath that I didn't even know I enjoyed this much. Consider me a fan.

You've got a lot of guts. Let's see what they look like!

Please try "The Unborn" album, try "Pure"!Mind-blowing! Perfect(except sound quality)!
Well this is much more deserving of the number 1 spot than the paradise lost album. I don't even listen to melodic death metal anymore and yet this album was a lot of fun to go through. Also much more convincing than their last album which sounded average to me. And it is a nice change from all the good black metal that has been coming out this year.
Decent work, but after the previous album, I think it is a little bit repetitive. Repetitiveness comes from the riff structres and similar tempo through the album.
Solid album as expected. Some fillers that are not as good, but very enjoyable.
I just wish i had the fans this band has, because, let's be honest, it's not THAT good guys!
