Seeing as this is a heavy metal site all of you probably like heavy metal. I however would be interested in what your guys favorite non-metal albums are. I'd ask that you limit yourself to 1 album per band.
mine would be:
1.Led Zeppelin IV
2.Jethro Tull - Aqualung
3.Queen - Sheer Heart Attack
4.Zephyr - Zephyr
5.Dire Straits - Dire Straits
6.Elf - Elf
7.Rush - 2112
8.CCR - Green River
9.The Jimmy Hendrix Experience - Are You Experienced?
10.The Who - Who's next

Billy Idol - Cyberpunk
Place Vendome - Streets Of Fire
Red Hot Chili Peppers - By The Way
Meat Loaf - Bat Out Of Hell II: Back Into Hell
Billy Idol - Billy Idol
Elf - Trying To Burn The Sun
Casualties Of Cool - Casualties Of Cool
Red Hot Chili Peppers - The Uplift Mofo Party Plan
Def Leppard - Hysteria
Jordan Rudess - All That Is Now

And special mention to Ronnie Dio And The Prophets - The Early Years, as it's a compilation rather than an album, but would still be in the top half of this list.
(didn't think about this much, just grabbed the 1st 10 from my fav 100 albums list)

I've never understood the hype behind The Cure^^ Seeing them in a lot of lists here. Maybe someday I'll like them.

The hype can be explained because they've been extremely influential to countless bands of countless music genres. Robert Smith's lyrics are little works of art. If I have guessed your taste right, Pornography and Disintegration are the albums most likely to click with you, since they are quite gloomy, especially the first one.

Awesome to see Madvillain. Should have been in my list, I completely forgot about them. MF Doom is my favorite rapper probably.

He's your favorite rapper but you forgot about him? Weird

Yeah, I know, I usually don't focus on rap music, that's why

Why do you think they will click with me because they are gloomy?

I understand how influential they are, I just dont like the music. I tried to listen to Disintegration a while ago. I think its just because i dont like the sad vibe of the music

Well, most albums in your 2017 list sound gloomy af I think. Or dark anyway, it's not like you've chosen flower power. Not a bad thing if you ask me

Oh yeah, it's fine. I think there are two different kinds of gloomy, the dark and evil gloomy (2017 list), and the atmospheric and maybe depressive gloomy (The Cure)

I listened to Pornography and it helped me learn to really like The Cure. I get Disintegration now as well. I think I may prefer Pornography though.

To be honest I don't really listen to anything other than rock and metal, not since I was a kid anyway, I like folk music, but most of the folk I listen to has some rock influences. I have never liked hip hop, dance, pop, soul, or R&B, I only like country when it's country rock aswel such as Lynyrd Skynyrd, and CCR.

You should try out some jazz fusion since you seem to like some some prog rock, there are similarities to be drawn. I'd avice you listen to Return To Forever, they're really good.

There are a few bands I like with that have jazz fusion influences such as; Soft Machine, Santana, The Mothers Of Invention, and Frank Zappa, but I will need to have a look at Return To Forever, thanks for the recommendation
