Is it me or is the concerts calendar for next october / november INSANE! I feel like I won't have a rest week, many weeks with 2 or more concerts. And no more cash obviously..
So any of you guys happen to play this huh... Sport?
Be it for hobby, for boredom, for real, for whatsoever?
Post anything you feel it's related here.
As for me, I play sporadically. In some times of my life I play seldom, in some I become kinda addicted to it.
Once I played it pretty good, now I'm back to sucking. It's one of those things that you sort of forget if you don't practice.
Yoooo! I was down 15 points of material, lost my queen, and my opponent had at one point forced checkmate in 3 moves..... and I was still able to checkmate my opponent's king https://lichess.org/C0M1ulL2/black
Here's a cool game where I lose my queen on the 3rd move, then win back the opponent's queen on the 18th move, and then create an unbeatable pawn storm! https://lichess.org/kVxeAdUh
Damn - I just beat an international master (IM) twice in bullet. To be fair, I was losing in the first game and won on time. In the second game, I won his queen, then I later lost my queen, leading to an equal position near the end, then I did a dubious move, my opponent didn't take my rook, and I actually ended in a winning position and won on time. You've got to be fast and tricky in bullet. That's how you win.
Here are the games:
1. I play with the black pieces
2. I play with the white pieces
My very first brilliant move !!!
Pardon the at times horrendous gameplay, I'm only at 400 elo

I am proud to announce that since my last post 9 days ago, my elo has nearly doubled and shows no sign of stopping doing so, I am very excited and hope to reach the 1000 elo gang very soon

Congrats, dude! Even if you fall down in the future, never give up!
However of all the ways I never thought I'd beat her with the... classic stafford gambit. The game ended very early. 10 moves only.
1. e4, e5 (I'm black)
2. Nf3, Nf6
3. Nxe5, Nc6 (this is the stafford gambit, you gambit this pawn here)
4. Nxc6, dxc6
5. Bd3!?
Of all the moves she chose to defend the pawn wth the bishop. Blocking the e pawn like that is especially dangerous for the stafford gambit, since white often uses their black bishop for blocking attacks on the king side.
5. ..., Bc4 (the genious idea of this gambit is playing Ng4 and attacking on f2)
6. O-O, Ng4
7. h3, h5 (apparently a brilliant move. The idea is doing some sort of fishing pole trap, since I never castled)
8. hxg4, xhg4
9. Nc3, Qh4
at this point I was honestly asking myself how she was gonna defend herself. After trying so many games and always trying tactics and losing miserably I couldn't imagine she felt for the mate threats on the h file like that. I'm threatening Qh2 or Qh1 with mate. Moving the rook to open room for the king doesn't work because the f2 pawn is still there, however the pawn cannot be moved because of my black B. That's why she should have left space for her black B in the beginning.
10. h4 (aaand, in the end she didn't know what to do...), Qh2#
Anyaway, althought this was my first win against her, it kinda felt very cheap, lol.

I lose my queen to a simple fork, hold on for a bit, and then use my chance to start a counterattack and checkmate the opponent!
I saw the game live. So glad that Hikaru got to beat him in that tense match! It turns out Magnus has a history indeed of blundering online. Here Hikaru reacts to some games of Magnus that he watches in which Magnus mouseslips on several occasions:
I made a mistake and let him double my pawns in front of my king, so I try to take advantage and go for some sort of windmill threat, and then I sac my rook in order to immobilize his good bishop as a means to fulfil that purpose.
