Honestly, is this really news? I mean, it's his private life, are we gonna know when he breaks up and finds another partner again as well? And as he said himself, he never hid he was an homosexual, what's the point?

I knew that some black metal artist is gonna come out of the closet sooner or later. Satanism and national socialism don't shock people anymore, homosexuality however does. The black metal scene conforms too much to its own principles of anti-conformity, so in order to become really anti-conformist and individualistic homosexuality is the way to go.

A long story short: This might just be a publicity stunt. And even if it wasn't, I couldn't care less.

Fair point - perhaps I could have worded the article better, but I tried to keep it brief.

I think deep down, many people are interested in this kind of thing and find it 'newsworthy' if they're honest - particularly considering Gaahl's image and past controversies, him coming out is a matter of interest. It doesn't mean there's a negative connotation to it.

Who gives a fuck about sexuality, as long as Gorgoroth exists I wont complain,exept if they turn into a glam-metal band... then it would be news worthy

I for one am glad it was posted. I...oh man....I've got so many jokes I could blurt out right now....I don't even know where to begin. I'm just......that whole news segment is just too perfect. I knew that Gaahl used to have a gay relationship with the guy he founded that fashion place with.

On the homosexuality issue, call me a bugger as much as you like, but I think gay marriage should not be legalized. I don't feel like going into detail, but someone needed to say that.

Well, if Wikipedia is right about this case he's Iranian. Maybe it's wrong, but that's the information I found about this, but the thing that only matters it that it wasn't Jon who murdered the guy.

Haha, this is quite funny, this guy is such a joke, he just talks random shit all the time to attract attention, keep himself in the media, either that or he has decided its more evil to be gay than straight or something. I mean just read the interview. He says he's never hid it so why suddenly out of the blue to do an interview about it, because he's in love? the only validation for that statement would be to then go on and inform the world of this person you love.

I've read and watched so many interviews with Gaahl, purely for entertainment value, and he just simply doesn't seem to be able to see the world in perspective and this is why comes up with such a variety of nonsense. whether he is actualy gay or not is irrelevant, its the way he conducts himself in interviews. its just silly.

Let's remember this is the same man who said that BM was going to change the world and there was a council of black metal bands and that at one of their meetings it was decided which bands would be chosen to change the world with their music. Gorgoroth are boring band with a clown for a frontman.
