So everyone just stayed there. The isolation made for a fun concotion of language and culture. I know its pure fucking luck that I ended up there. But I enjoy having that in me, the slang, the jokes, the food. No harm in that.
Chile is a young country that was made out of different european colonies plus the indigenous people. Geographic borders (the andes, desert and the south pole) made travel from and to Chile extremely difficult back then.
I agree with Rod. I also think context plays a huge role. The Estonian singing revolution was a display of pride despite Soviet annexation and occupation. That’s okay, but it differs greatly from national pride in most other cases
*** READ ME *** This list is about the greatest metal albums of all-time, from all sub-genres and all countries. You won't see bands like Deep Purple, Rush, BOC, Zeppelin, etc., nor will you see bands like Tool, Rage ATM, Melvins and Soundgarden. While I love many of those bands, my definition of metal does not include them.
I haven't decided yet if this is going to be a top-100, -150, -200, so I will start at the top and see where it goes. I'm also considering implementing a 3-albums-per-artist rule to allow for more variety -- we'll see.
