unfortunately and most likely we'll see it accidentally (anyway).
I for one dislike CD booklets or vinyls that are heavy on the eye, or I find ugly, bland.

I mean who thought that yellow looked nice. Is there a point to it?

What's wrong with yellow? Unless someone dislikes the colour, then they will hate the cover. But likes and dislikes aside, this is the first Metallica cover since And Justice that actually carries a meaning that is deeper than face value. Study the cover and try to guess what particular items signify.

Or shit on it because it's yellow and Metallica sold out ages ago, so fuck them anyway, right?

It's an embarrassingly bad cover for a band of this level, only made worse by the pretentious explanation behind it. Not to mention the cringe-fest dad song titles.

Lux is pretty meh. It's fun and fast. I skipped Hardwired, and Lux isn't telling me I need to listen to this one.

If there's one thing I love about a new Metallica release, it's watching the IMC (internet metal community) eat itself alive over it.

I understand the concept, I'm not criticising that, but the overuse of the yellow colour on the cover is heavy on the eye. That's all.

If previous albums are anything to go by, we'll get about 5 songs that are overlong but (semi)decent, then about 5 songs that are inexcusably overlong, then 2 really good songs.

Keep the pages going boys seething about Muhtallica album covers and muhtallica's drum sound.

You're still talking about them decades after unlike all the generic album art and production elsewhere so they must be doing something right to keep yer heads ringing.

The cover art is great. It conveys the overall message of the album, as depicted by James Hetfield. The longer I study it, the more I like it.

About the album... Last time I really liked a Metallica album was in the 1990's, so I'm not holding my breath for this one. I expect a few decent-to-good songs, but not much more. Also, they're still suffering from composers' diarrhea - overlong songs that need serious trimming. I guess when a band is that big, there is no way anyone can tell them in the studio to get out the fucking shears.
