Quo Vadis is the best technical death metal band of all time in my opinion. They have great drumming from Yanic Bercier the riffs and solos are amazing and they have one of the best players ever not to mention the growls are amazing. My favorite album from them is Day Into Night but my favorite song is Break the Cycle what are everyone elses opinions on the band?
Also they have an amazing triple DVD called Defiant Indoctirine anyone who likes the band should definently check it out.

I've been meaning on checking out this band for a while now. I actually went to a cd store yesterday in order to buy an album from them, even though I haven't heard them before, but they didn't have anything by them.

Gr8 band heard them recently and immediately liked them, Drumming is insane has people point out but the vox too are brilliant.
All four albums are gr8 but my favs would be two of those Defiant Imagination and Day Into Night.
Currently one of my fav bands

Great band indeed, both agressive and melodic. They have some thrash, death, gothenburg elements, and even if they don't sound so brutal in their latest releases I still love them. I'm quite into "Day into Night" at the moment, but I have to admit that "Break the Cycle" must be my favourite song too!!
Anyone has seen their DVD??

Quo Vadis is amazing ... and i love the band .. but surely not the best ... i totally love their album Defiant Imagination .. though the drumming gets a bit monotonous ... a bit more variety thrown in wouldve really made the album an exceptional one.

Been getting into the band more and more. Not the best technical death metal that I've heard that alot of you seem to be saying - I like mine more brutal - but a very good one. What im finding is that their heaps catchy more than alot of the oterh technical stuff I listen too particularly the album 'Day Into Night'.

I love this band !
I have all their CDs, DVD, and T-Shirt.

Like others members just before me, I prefer a music brutal, but Quo Vadis is different. They produce a music which refers to very different kinds of Metal, their guitar solos are great and Yanic Bercier is just awesome on the drums.
Another thing is the presence of Steve DiGiorgio on the bass guitar in their last album. He has brought a new way of thinking for Quo Vadis.

And also... on Quo Vadis website forum, you can talk with Bart (the lead guitarist) technically, musically, spiritually, etc.

I have only heard their debut album "Forever..." and I think it's a great album. It's a step away from most of the generic death metal around nowadays. Quo Vadis seem to be more unique and original. Yanic Bercier is indeed a superb drummer. Bart is a great guitarist also. The riffs are very fast and the vocals... well, just brilliant. I really like the blend of growls and the black metal shrieks.

I haven't heard their other two albums, but Forever... is definitely one of my favourite technical death metal albums. I really like the more melodic aspect they have in their music. Just to sum it up, this album in general is absolutely flawless and if the rest of their work is anything like this, then I'm sure they are a great band.

Hmm, I looked them up on Wikipedia, says they were in the band but theres no citations or anything. Perhaps if you could find proof you should edit it in.

Damn, I was listening album Defiant Imagination, and I thought "damn, I hate to admit it, but this dude on fretless bass is maybe even better than Steve DiGiorgio" and yesterday, I realized that bassist on "Defiant Imagination" is - Steve DiGiorgio

Anyway, I like this band, its just right form of Tech Death for me, just as I like it. I have "Forever" and "Defiant Imagination", of which I like 2nd the best.
Also, I think that first songs on album are the best, I dont know, maybe they have that habbit of putting the best song as opener?

Great band, they certainly stand out from the tech. death scene these days, being more melodic and overall just having a different sound. I catched them live last year, it was really awesome, and on top of that the one of the openers was Martyr, so that was the best concert i've attended yet. I really want to get a hold of their album Day Into Night that song Absolution just fucking slays.
