Favorite Full Length Debuts To add fuel to the fire of the "they'll never top their first album" rhetoric, here are all my favorite full length debuts in alphabetical order. Full lengths, not EPs.

1001 Metal Albums You Must Hear Before You Die Welcome to what I consider the "1001 Metal Albums You Must Hear Before You Die" or in other words, a list of records of various genres in the arrays of Metal and Hard Rock that I deem essential or at least very recommended to listeners of hard and heavy music. This may be a very overwhelming list but I essentially try to collect all albums in the History of Metal that strike me as worthwhile. May this be a guideline for people that seek for an entrance to a particular genre or certain bands. In no means I am saying, that this list is indisputable by any means. I consider these my personal picks for albums that should be listened to by die-hard metal fans at least once. Hopefully you can discover some new music or relate with my picks. If I missed something that you would include in such a list, please tell me in the form of a comment. Enjoy! \,,/

The Best Metal Albums* From A To # (B) This list is meant to be an extensive, but by no means exhaustive, collection of the greatest (modern) metal albums and eps. Running the gamut from avant-garde to trve norweigan black metal. *As someone who is young in age, my tastes tend to revolve around the period of the 80s to the present.* Although certain metal albums from before will certainly be featured, the period of the 60s-70s will be under-represented. I refer you to this excellent list to gain a better appreciation for some of the best metal from that period: https://rateyourmusic.com/list/freis/martin_popoffs_the_top_500_heavy_metal_albums_of_all_time/

Nightfall In Suomi: Finnish Tales Of The Dark And Surreal I took a crack at this list a while ago and then scrapped it. Time for the revival. The idea here is simple enough. For quite a while now Finland seems to have established a formidable reputation for interpretations of metal that are just all around more mindbending, forward thinking and subversive than much of their other counterparts in the international community. This is most noticeable in the realms of black and doom metal, which will be the focus of this list. More or less from the 90s on, much experimentation along the darker, more esoteric lines has been taking place within these arenas of Finnish metal, and the trend continues today. Let's take a look see, shall we?

Kvlt Madness Presents: An Intro To WAR METAL! So, What is WAR METAL?
Many define the micro-genre of "War Metal" as a chaotic blend of Thrash/Grindcore riffing infused with Black Metal Ideals, voxs, and lo-fi attitude. It can also lean more towards the way of Death as well. Many of the bands take heavy influence form the genre of Bestial Black Metal. When it comes to "extreme" genres of music, it doesn't get much more brutal or lo-fi as these bands...which is just the way I love it! Dirty and RAW! They rely heavily on the themes of despair, Satan, tyranny, death, nihilism, goat heads, gas masks, social unrest, nuclear holocaust, and obviously war.

My 20 Favorite Black Metal Albums This is a list of my 20 favorite BM albums ever. Apparently Mystifier and Moonblood are too kvlt to be on Metal Storm at this time, but both are incredibly fucking awesome. Moonblood played Epic Black Metal and are the undisputed gods of horrible lo-fi production, with one of their rehearsals rumored to have even been recorded in a bathroom. Mystifier is another quite good BM band, who are from South America and play in a similar vein to that of Sarcófago, old Beherit, and old Sepultura, and is some of the most evil material I have listened to in a long time.
