Well...it sure isn't good, primarily due to the mixing and production. Instrumentally it's not as atrocious as the ratings indicate though.

All I can say about this album is that it has melodies that I enjoyed and the album cover is cool. But, most of the time it was tedious, cheesy, unoriginal, and poorly produced

LARPing as non-power metal defenders after having admitted that this is undefendable situation? I haven'y heard it myself but I wont doubt the rating either.

I barely understand your first sentence, had to look up what LARPing is.
Just kidding anyway, nevertheless power metal fans are rather too sensitive sometimes so I made that silly statement.

Oh dear, well there's no other way to say it, the mix is pathetic. Where's the high end? I don't really hear the cymbals very well! Why does everything sounds so tame? It sounds so "nasally" and flat. The levels are so unbalanced in-between the individual components, far far far far too much inconsistency across the whole production. Did someone forget to un-bypass most of the compressors? Did anyone even attempt to deal with all the mud? Or at least record it better? And crank up the distortion a bit more, please! You can't come out with this poorly mixed and recorded power metal record in this day and age. So many problems to point out... I need to stop myself here because I could go on and on.

I kind of feel bad for pooping on this so hard, but oh well. The vocals work and they also don't. And they stop working more and more as the record progresses. As if everyone did one take and got progressively tired, and it also got too late and they didn't want to wake everyone up in the house. And too much cheese in the vocals, which might normally be fine, but almost everything else around it is so flat. And so they poke out that much more, highlighting at times bad harmonizing parts and any other lacking elements. There's a lot to critique about them, but then here are some impressive sustained high pitched screams. So power metal!!!

The instrumental performances aren't too bad, sometimes the pocket is wonky. Solos are pretty good dare I say, some riffs here and there, fills and what not, but most of the time it's still just boring. Sometimes I feel like they are falling asleep while they're playing. But you know what, better luck next time! It could work out if greater care towards production is taken, less aimless wandering around in terms of songwriting, stronger motifs, less noodling-doodling and more purpose. Also improving vocal performances, that would help.
