I would already be very happy with ranked yeah. It might better suited for people who are not too involved in politics. But majority judgement has been proven to be supperior.

Difficult to get the citizenry to give a rating to every political party too. Ranked choice is nice because you can give your vote to as many, or as few as you want

Nothing prevents other voters to give low ratings to this kind of candidates though. I'm sure with this system far right would get 30% of 7/7, but also 50% of 0/7.

I would already be happy if political programs were marketed by their "why" first and then the "how" and the "what", instead of the other way around

Problem with taking the median is that privileges the parties that get few votes but its supporters are die-hard
