Removing from non-MS list - pasting the blurb here.

Grorr employ a heavy, plodding style of progressive metal draws largely from math, folk, and death. Over the course of their three albums, the band gradually eschews the latter and hones on their strength: delivering rhythmic perplexity with beautifully arrange instrumentation from various regions, primarily those found in East Asian and Middle Eastern folk (please excuse - and correct - my ignorance on this generalisation). The unique vocalist adds another layer of intrigue to the mix, utilising a set of styles that may prove polarising, but nevertheless integral to the sound they set out to deliver. Only a few bands in the progressive math metal (djent) space manage to incorporate folk elements without presenting as an affectation. Grorr is one, and - off the top of my head - the other is Mobius. FFO: Mobius, Meshuggah and Gojira.
