Sabaton's fifth foray into the grandiose and keyboard-laden military metal they so brilliantly pioneered with Primo Victoria is without a doubt the high point of their career thus far. Despite somewhat mixed reviews, this album definitely deserves a 10; it already ranks among my favorites.
Yep, sounds a lot like art of war. The keyboard melody is nice and everything, but im unimpressed by how low the guitars sound in the mix. The keyboard and choirs seem to be dominating everything but the drums.
Aha. I got this album today. Will have a listen and post an opinion in time.
EDIT.. Ok. After one listen I must say it is so many levels below the last album to the point where it is almost disappointing.
It has some moments... maybe it is a grower. I'll give it time...

No, I didn't buy it. I got it early through the label to review.

Neehhh...Sorry, but for me the material isn't that good. Way below the "Art Of War"!
The title track is probably the best one, brearing true Sabaton signature. "Screaming Eagles" and "Aces In Exile" (here the vocal line is quite kind of a rip-off from other tracks) too. "White Death" is my favourite.
"Midway" is quite weird.
"The Final Solution" carries some good key-board sound and composition variation. Sounds good, but quite cheesy. Slow too.
"Wehrmacht" is weird too. Starts well though; key-board tones á lá Rammstein kind of... Other then that the track is quite jerky/abrupt; the "what about the men executing orders" line quite enerving.
All in all an average album. I expected much more.
Feels as if they tried too hard to enhance the lyrics in the detriment of the music.
Just my take on it.
I'm on my second listen and it's starting to grow on me a little, But the whole album kind of has a recycled feel to it. Even the lyrics are recycled. A good example is the song The Final Solution.
Dreams fade away and hope turns to dust - Final Solution
Dreams of freedom turn to dust - Cliffs of Gallipoli
Nation in despair- Final Solution
A nation in despair- Rise of Evil
I also have to mention that their use of keys and choirs is starting to become excessive...
The Art of War was a decent balance.
