Biography

The debut concept album of the Rostov group Voltland titled The Cycle of Existence fascinates from the first seconds. The introduction smoothly envelops the listener, as if inviting into the world of raging emotions and passions, the intensity of which grows with each new song and does not subside until the last notes. Sensual vocals (Sergei Savin) penetrate into the very depths, forcing together with the lyric hero to experience the destruction of the world and collecting it bit by bit. With the unity of music, history and concept, the album resembles a good book with an exciting storytelling and deep ideas.
After reading (or listening) such a book makes you think, comprehend, reason and discuss ... The musicians went to the idea of writing their own album for more than ten years, perfecting the game in different styles, directions and groups.

In 2010 Vyacheslav Rusanov (keyboards), Konstantin Kudrin (guitar) and Alexander Kudrin (drums) have teamed up in a group called Voltland. A little later they were joined by bassist Vadim Lukashov and vocalist Sergei Savin. The guys were inspired by such masters as Rush, Dream Theater, Spock's Bird, King Crimson, they were not afraid to improvise and experiment with different styles of music.

The symbiosis of progressive rock and art-rock, elements of psychedelics, symphonic metal and jazz will hardly leave a sophisticated listener indifferent. And the solo parts make you stop the composition and rewind it to the beginning in order to enjoy the sound again. Work on the debut album lasted about a year, in three different cities, several recording studios and in constant improvement of the material. Finally, in 2017, The Cycle of Existence is gearing up for release.
