Formed in the city of São Paulo originally in '83 by a group of friends who were amusing playing covers of bands of the "NWOBHM", the Anthares became a reality two years later, when it stabilized its formation and began to compose own material, bringing already in its first compositions, explicit influences of a new slope of the heavy music, Thrash Metal. Still in '85, the band recorded their first demo, beginning a long trajectory of dozens of shows, recordings, appearances and interviews on TV shows and specialized radio stations, captivating a growing loyal audience and arousing the interest of several independent labels at the time, which ended up culminating in the recording of his only official album released until today, 'No Limite Da Força' of 1987, considered a classic of the national Metal. The band lived years of intense activity, result of the success of the album. But with the arrival of the '90s, the first changes in their formation appeared that interrupted the ascendant trajectory of the Anthares, who remained in active until '95, when its remaining members decided to leave for other projects.

Seven years went by before the decision to bring Anthares back on the scene. In 2004, members of the original line-up Evandro Jr. (drums) and Pardal (bass), as well as the remaining members since 1990, Topperman (guitar) and Mauricio Amaral (guitar) joined vocalist Frank Gasparotto and resumed the trajectory of many shows until 2008, when Diego Nogueira assumed the post of singer of Anthares. From there the band began the process of composing new songs and began to tour throughout the national territory.
