I know that's a weird thing to say from someone who provides a website for free to a huge community, but it's not like we don't have costs. We're just not forwarding them to our users.
I see it as paying for an ad-free experience. I use yt so much that 13€ per month seems a fair price to me. The infrastructure they run is insanely expensive and the service they provide is unheard of still, otherwise.
Like that whole thing with the mobile app, "upgrade to keep playing vids while using other shit!". Practically every other platform lets you do that already for free lmao fuck off
