It's crazy how much nonsense I've heard for people who don't truly understand the offside rule (but then again, it's a pretty complex set of rules on paper).
@ Cynic, if you're talking about the 2nd goal, then you're very, very wrong. They were robbed only on that late offside which actually wasn't, and that's that.
Bayern was robbed? I think so. If not for goal line tech, it was a clear offside. If you have seen closely, it was a minor whisky to the last defender passing and that is why goal was allowed.
Talking about games d4 S4 starts next week and Blizzard (own by Microsoft by the way) announced major overhaul of most aspects of the game. I will give it a go out of curiosity
Thrash was one of the first metal genres I got into around 2005. I discovered Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer, etc through Kerrang! magazine and their albums quickly became my favourites at the time. Now, I've discovered many more such as Vektor, Testament and Nevermore thanks to MS.
So here are my favourites of the genre with my rating, its sub-genre and release year:
(Score is an average of each album's song ratings, full list located here)
If you discovered any new albums or like the same sort of thrash metal, be sure to give this list a thumbs-up and leave a comment so more people can find these amazing bands!
I've listened to The Years Of Decay by Overkill, Bonded By Blood by Exodus and Extreme Aggression by Kreator - all fantastic albums but I didn't enjoy them quite enough to be in my top 40.
Great list! I'd probably be in the minority here but I personally rate RTL over MOP, both are exceptional albums though so I don't blame you for having them both so high in the list. It's also great to see Skeletonwitch make your list
The only Meshuggah that fits under thrash is their debut album which is a great album IMO.
Nice list, I like quite a few albums here. A few are in my thrash list as well. (Sorry for bumping my list here)
I've got a few genre lists coming up but it was a challenge to work out where Meshuggah sit best - in the end I went with Thrash as it seemed more suitable than Progressive or any others. I haven't heard their debut yet though, I'll be sure to check it out! And no problem with promoting yours, it is also a great list which I've already given thumbs-up to

Yeah they are tricky to rate - for me 'Escape' is the song that brings down RTL VERY slightly below MOP. Some days I prefer one over the other but there really isn't much between them! And Skeletonwitch are awesome, especially this album

Oh yeah, I forgot. Thanks!

Absolutely amazing picks. Some of my all-time favourite thrash is in there... That's good. I won't suggest though for that one lol, I think it would get out of hand.

Go on. Give me your top five not featured on this list.

Fuck... Tall order, this is gonna be hard. I'm not sure if its my actual top 5 not featured on your list but here's a few that come quickly to mind that I personally love and listen to regularly.

Difficult to make any recommendation because of how much I agree with the records that area already here. Big overlap in our tastes I guess
At least for a future recommendation I'd like to shout out Outworld (self-titled), Morbid Saint ("Spectrum of Death") and Sindrome ("Resurrection"). Outworld is often labelled power metal but that's only because there are synths, and Sindrome's a compilation record of demos that were remastered and released as this short and sweet compilation album. I think their second demo is criminally overlooked.

Thanks! Spectrum of Death is a good album. I'll check out the others
You put in quite a bit of work while you could instead just say "Metallica are my favourite thrash band".
Thanks! Lists are definitely one of the best features on MS. I would put Slayer, Vektor and Testament up there with them too but Metallica definitely have a lot of my favourites!
