cricket is still the major summer sport here. more popular than soccer. soccer is played in the summer here, to avoid competing with league, aussie rules and union.

Not much. Cricket as compared to Rugby is not considered to be a posh sport there.

@Vice - It was pretty dead from 2008 and 2014. Current Australian team looks strongest on the field, and I think they are one of the strongest contenders to lift T20 WC.
