Well in Sweden's case, there's a pretty ingrown sense of superiority in our culture, because we're used to being able to call it literally the safest country on Earth, but that's not the case anymore, and also
Imagine fleeing to somewhere you heard is paradise only to live next door to the same people you fled from, with no chance of interacting with society, surrounded by crime, where there's no longer any housing or jobs for anyone
But the "answer" can't be to say immigrants are bad, let's send them back to their countries. Left parties need to accept talking about immigration and propose humanist answers to it.
I think one the big issues in the past 10 years actually is that the left refused to discuss the immigration topic. Because I would sure not say there's no issue there at all.
