this makes me think it's a very stupid prank. "oh, yeah, let's make a riot". uhh, no, that's kinda stupid, if you ask me. just liste to Slayer, that's ok, gather your friends for a whole afternoon and listen to slayer, but why the hell would you you want to start out riots and shit like that?

Lol yeah especially the spray stuff and the killing of a dog (I guess it's even better if the dog has a lion-like haircut) is absolutely gay.

I actually did a few of those celebrations or whatever for the first National Day of Slayer but I thought that was the only one. I think that was on 6/6/06. hmm

I didn't even know that they were working on a new album! That's great to hear! So that is going to be released sometime this year probably eh?

If they are, they should release it that same day. thatway it would be even more Slayer day!

Who is Slayer

Slayer is a band from California. Their music has come to epitomize Satanic speed metal music in the latter half of the 20th century. Their 1986 album, "Reign in Blood" is one of the single most influential metal albums of all time, typified by the modern classic "Angel of Death".

I really hope no one takes this seriously. I'm getting sick of people trying to turn metal into a religion.

I'd prefer National Day of Metal or something like that, something in the vein of April 20th for Mary Jane. not just Slayer(sounds to me like fanboyism)

I think this is the best (or only good) idea that ANUS ever came up with. A simple thing that most metalheads can get behind. Slayer is virtually universally appreciated in the metal world, but still 'edgy' enough to create a slight media stir. I don't see why this shouldn't be embraced, metal's persistence as a subculture has surely earned it some kind of fringe holiday.
